Under High Profile: Countess Winifred Pale

This pic crossesover the small press comic book The Underburbs, which features monsters who go to high school, with the Mattel merchandising giant Monster High, a series of dolls and cartoons about monsters who go to high school. In case you don't know, Monster High gives its major characters profile pages like this: [link] and there is a killer cult of people who make up original fan characters with their own profile pages. I thought it would be fun/hilarious to draw the Underburbs characters like this.

For Winifred Pale, the lead antagonist of The Underburbs, I mimicked this picture by the Underburbs fellows [link] I liked the idea of stylizing one of their designs, this way she still had a canon "look" to her. I did give her shoes that Monster High killer high heel. Some of her answers to the questions I made up since her favourite colour and foods, etc have not been discussed in the comic book. I did try to make her answers sound realistic to the Winifred character and sneak in references to events in the Underburbs comics. Winifred was so fun to write.

To make it a full profile page, I also drew the heads and shoulders of other characters appearing in The Underburbs for the friend boxes. Also, every Monster High character gets a "skullette" logo, so I made Winifred's with her distinctive hairstyle and fangs. I rather like how it turned out. (I try not to die laughing at using The Hammer as her pet.)
