P is for Penny

I decided to cross the TV show Daria with Edward Gorey's illustrated poem "The Gashlycrumb Tinies." My version has characters from Daria dying horrible deaths. I find this sort of thing humourous. These are a series of greyscale pencil drawings, fixed digitally, and set to rhyming couplets. Since I'm killing off characters, the events depicted here take place AFTER the show, in a hypothetical future.

Jane's sister, Penny Lane, really needs to check the travel advisories before going to South America.
(This one is a DOUBLE PARODY. The action in this panel mimics the famous Pulitzer Prize winning photo "General Nguyen Ngoc Loan executing a Viet Cong prisoner in Saigon," aka "Saigon Execution" by Eddie Adams. I have been told this makes it one of the darkest pics in the bunch. Hooray?)
